Thank you for your interest in joining the family of Peace. Our greatest desire for those who are attending Peace Baptist Church is for them to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to develop a personal relationship with Him. Therefore, it is important for Christians to consistently attend a Bible believing church that will help them develop spiritually.
For those who wish to make Peace Baptist Church their church home where they will develop that relationship with Christ, there are other expectations that we hope our members will fulfill. First, all persons who wish to be members of Peace must complete a membership class. This class is offered at different times and at different lengths to accommodate the busy schedules of our prospective members. In the membership class, the facilitators will teach the foundational principles of Christianity and church membership as well as share the organizational structure of Peace Baptist Church. Also, prospective members will be given various assessments to help them discover their God given purpose. Before the end of class, a Plug In Coach can be assigned to prospective member to help them develop a personal plan for spiritual growth. At the end of Membership Class, new members are asked to attend an 101 Orientation to receive an overview of the 8 Umbrella Ministries of Peace, to learn more about at least 2 Umbrella Ministries, and to meet the leaders of those ministries.
We believe that membership at Peace is much more than joining a social organization. It is joining a family, a family of believers. Metro Atlanta is full of people who have migrated from other cities and states. It is difficult to find a native Atlantan. Peace to many members has served as a surrogate family, a home away from home. We strive to maintain the love, support, and unity of a strong family. For this reason, we ask everyone who joins Peace Baptist Church to commit to the following process.
A Member of Peace commits to becoming a:
Follower of Christ
Active Disciple/Student of God's Word
Minister to the Needs of People
Investor of Time and Resources towards the Ministry
Lover of God's People
Yielded Vessel to the Purpose and Will of God
All prospective members must complete membership class, sign the covenant and receive the Right Hand of Fellowship.
To Sign Up for Membership Class
- Respond to the invitation for membership during the altar call and you will be scheduled for the next scheduled membership class.
- Contact the church office and register for the next scheduled class.
- Go directly to the first class w/out registering. (Class schedules are posted on the website and in the weekly bulletin)
Membership classes for adults are:
- Wednesdays for 13 weeks @7:30—8:45 pm in Room 102
- Sundays 9:00 – 10:45 am for seven weeks in Room 102.

Teens (6th - 12th grades) membership classes are:
- 2nd Sundays 9:00—11:00 am in Room C-4
Children (5 - 11 years old) membership classes are:
- Firm Foundation classes are 2nd & 3rd Sunday of every month 9:30 am in Room C-3. This class covers the gift of salvation in language the children can understand.
*Teens and children must complete membership classes before they are baptized.
